Dragonfly Lands in Ubud

Dragonfly Restaurant in central Ubud celebrates its official grand opening on 21 July with a benefit for the Begawan Giri Foundation Bali Starling Recovery Program. The event will raise funds for the project which breeds the critically endangered bird for release into a protected environment and works together with the community to ensure economic opportunities for local residents.
All are invited to enjoy a sparkling evening of cocktails, East/West tapas and live music. Guests have the chance to bid in a silent auction featuring an array of spectacular gifts generously donated by local businesses. Dinner for two at Mozaic, art by Mario Blanco, a stay at Mandala Desa Villas and two nights at the sumptuous Como Shambhala Estates are but a few of the items on offer.
Excellent food, lively ambiance and a full schedule of events has created a growing buzz for Dragonfly since its soft launch in mid-May. The restaurant has been infusing Ubud with a welcome dose of urban style. The vibrant décor of rich red and ochre walls, snappy black and tan checkerboard floor and glowing green glass bar would be equally at home in San Francisco or Sydney while comfy chairs and the genuinely welcoming staff invite one to linger. Prepared before your eyes in the gleaming stainless steel open kitchen and outdoor grill, the eclectic menu is sourced from premium organic ingredients while a food-friendly wine list offers a wide range of choices. Great food, lively atmosphere and full calendar of happenings- it all adds up to a host of reasons to meet at Dragonfly!
