Will this Dragonfly? Undoubtedly!

The recently launched Dragonfly is destined to fly high with its eclectic cuisine and urban chic décor. The emphasis is on premium ingredients, immaculate presentation and an upbeat atmosphere, together with a schedule of regular live music, tango dance lessons and Sunday “playdates” when you can enjoy an uninterrupted meal in the knowledge that your kids (aged 6 and under) are being entertained upstairs with storytelling, games and activities.

The stylish Dragonfly boasts a chili red, mustard and olive green décor, crisp white tablecloths and a San Francisco vibe. If you get there early, you might just be able to grab one of the sunny outdoor tables for an alfresco dining experience. Furthermore, the food is superb. Best sellers include Edamame Dumplings, Quesadillas, Crackling Crisp Calamari and Rosemary Chicken sporting an aromatic coat. Chilled Gazpacho soup is served in a martini glass, it looks cool and it tastes great, and the “Ubud on the Beach Grill” is a Jimbaran Bay feast presenting the catch of the day.

The flavours of Indonesia are also prevalent; owner Elizabeth has captured her favourite cook’s coveted Balinese curry recipe with “Kasmana’s Curry” of white eggplant, broccoli and capsicum simmered in coconut milk. Delicious deserts include creamy lemon cheescake with a fresh citrus accent. Wines from Chile, Alsace, Australia, Italy and bali are a big hit at Dragonfly, because (like the Gazpacho) they are served by the glass, and are very reasonably priced – as is the food!
